Father’s Day is Sunday, June 15. These local events will help make it one to remember.

1. Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance

This luxury car show on Rodeo Drive is an annual Father’s Day tradition in Beverly Hills. This year’s show marks the centennial of the city of Beverly Hills and will feature cars owned by celebrities and those related to the city’s history, film, and TV. It’s free and open to the public.

2. Will Rogers State Historic Park

It’s in the Palisades, right off Sunset Boulevard, but this peaceful park feels like you’re far away from the city. There’s lots to do here with Dad – grill some steaks or have a picnic, then hike on one of the park’s trails. Or you could take a tour of Will Rogers’ ranch house, and you might see a polo match on the only remaining polo field in L.A. Whatever you do, Dad can feel refreshed and recharged by the park’s natural beauty.

The Playboy bunny ears will return to the stage at the Hollywood Bowl June 14-15 for Father's Day.

3. Playboy Jazz Festival

Since 1979 the Playboy Jazz Festival has been an unofficial father’s day jam hosted by TV dad and comedian Bill Cosby. Comedian George Lopez has taken over as emcee, and the festival still puts on a nonstop weekend of music and fun under the sun and stars. This year’s headliners include the likes of Dianne Reeves, Tia Fuller, and George Benson. Pack a picnic and some sunscreen.

4. Culver City Run

Bring out Dad’s inner running champ with a 5K or 10K run for a good cause on Father’s Day. The Culver City Run benefits the Culver City Education Foundation and Train 4 Autism. Registration $35 through June 13 and $40 on race day; kids run free.

 5. Dodgers game

On Father’s Day the Dodgers will celebrate Dad with some special treats: a sports bag giveaway for the first 40,000 guests, a Viva Los Dodgers show, and a Father’s Day Post-game Catch. Oh, and they’ll be playing the Arizona Diamondbacks. Game starts at 1:10 pm.
