Cornerstone Music Conservatory provides expert, personalized music training of the highest quality to both children and adults alike. Students enjoy Cornerstone’s warm, friendly learning environment with special events and recitals provided regularly to keep students motivated throughout the year. Many of their talented students are presently sitting “first chair” in their school orchestras and many of their graduates have been inspired by Cornerstone to make music their life’s work. However, the main mission of the Conservatory, according to Cornerstone Director Ann Pittel, is that “all of our students acquire a love of music for their entire life. Music is truly a gift that keeps on giving, even beyond music itself.”
Cornerstone offers a full range of vocal and instrumental private lessons at any level: beginners through advanced. In addition there are many options for group classes including children’s group piano, violin and guitar classes that include training in technique, note-reading, ear-training, singing, rhythms, theory games, improvisation, and composing while exposing students to a wide variety of music repertoire. Creative music programs for babies and toddlers provide a delightful introduction to music skills at an early age. Cornerstone proudly hosts the Westside Children’s Chorus, Westside Youth Orchestra, and Rock Band and gives sensational, memorable Musical Birthday Parties. Cornerstone gladly welcomes children with special needs and offers a limited number of scholarships.
