On Saturday, the LACPCA hosted a police K9 demo and educational public safety fair at Santa Monica College’s stadium. Funds raised at the events went toward both supporting owners of retired police dogs and funding grants for officers to undergo further police K9 training.
Parts of the demonstration showed off the tactical and detection capabilities of the dogs as would be used in real-life scenarios, whereas others were comedic, purely for the enjoyment of the largely family-based audience.
