Is someone you know such a huge fan of a TV star, business leader or athlete that it would be the coolest thing ever if that fan could hear directly from his or her celebrity hero?
In a city that thrives on entertainment, one Los Angeles-based company is looking to connect those who both love the stars, and those who aspire to be stars, with the personalities themselves.
TipTalk is a messaging platform that allows users to send a 200-character message to a star, influencer and/or expert to which the celebrity can respond with a text, photo or video.
Users purchase $1 credits to message the influencers and the “prices” for each type of response they choose to receive (text, photo, video) are set by the influencers on the platform.
A portion or all of the proceeds can also be donated to a charity of the influencer’s choice.
TipTalk allows users to communicate with a wide range of stars, from former Lakers’ player Rick Fox to Glee superstar Jenna Ushkowitz. Big names from the worlds of fashion, beauty, sports, entertainment and finance are joining the roster of those fans can now communicate with.
Never before have fans been able to connect one-on-one with some of the hardest people to reach in the world.
A launch party for TipTalk was recently held at a private home in Los Angeles.
Rick Fox, one of the influencers on TipTalk, attended the event with his Echo Fox League of Legends team as well as Echo Fox CEO Jace Hall.
Fox’s premier eSports franchise, Echo Fox hosts eSports teams that compete in League of Legends, Counter Strike Global Offensive, Street Fighter V, H1Z1 and Call of Duty.
E-Sports, if you don’t know it, is booming these days.
