Bonnie Rubin, Executive Vice President of 1st Century Bank, was recognized as a Woman of Distinction by the Special Needs Network during its Pink Pump Affair on Sunday, May 17, at the Montage in Beverly Hills.
The award honors female individuals that exemplify community involvement through their philanthropic efforts and empower other women to succeed through the example of their work.
Rubin’s 2015 co-honorees were California Attorney General Kamala Harris, Pat Harvey, Dorothy Lucey, Ana Garcia and Leslie Miller of the Good News Foundation, and Actress/Philanthropist Nicole Ari Parker.
“I am deeply honored to be recognized alongside this noteworthy group of women who have dedicated their time and work to giving back to the community,” Rubin said. “I am also very proud to support the Special Needs Network, and thank them for all that they do to improving the lives of kids impacted with autism and other developmental disabilities in Los Angeles.”
One hundred percent of the proceeds from the Pink Pump event will support The Special Needs Network’s Joe Patton Academy Educational Summer Camp (“Camp JPAC”) and its teen college preparatory and job readiness program.
