The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular
gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today for the third consecutive day following a 19-day streak of increases, decreasing two-tenths of a cent to
$3.825.
The average price is 18.2 cents more than one week ago and 63.3 cents higher than one month ago, but 45.6 cents less than one year ago, according to
figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price increased 70.6 cents during the streak of increases to
its highest amount since Aug. 29, then dropped one-tenth of a cent on Tuesday and eight-tenths of a cent on Wednesday.
The Orange County average price rose four-tenths of a cent to $3.82 after dropping two consecutive days following a 19-day streak of increases.
