A 54-year-old woman was critically injured when she jumped from a third-floor window to escape an apartment fire in Inglewood
last night.
The woman possibly broke her back and a leg, Los Angeles County Fire Department Supervisor Kyle Sandford said.
The fire, in a three-story apartment building in the 600 block of Venice Way, was reported around 7:40 pm and knocked down by 25 firefighters in 17 minutes, Sandford said.
There were no other evacuations from the building, Sandford said.
The extent of the damage to the building and the fire’s cause was not known.
