A public memorial service will be held Monday for Bell Gardens Mayor Daniel Crespo, who was fatally shot in his home, allegedly by his wife.
Crespo, 45, was shot Sept. 30. Sheriff’s officials said his wife, 43- year-old Lyvette Crespo, fired the fatal shots during a family fight.
She was interviewed but not arrested, pending a decision by the District Attorney’s Office on whether charges will be filed.
The public memorial service for the mayor will be at 5 p.m. Monday at Rose Hills Memorial Chapel, 3888 Workman Mill Road in Whittier.
A private service will be held Tuesday for family and invited guests.
