The FlyAway bus system today will begin service from Hollywood to Los Angeles International Airport.
The shuttle will run hourly, leaving at 15 minutes past the hour from 5:15 a.m. to 10:15 p.m. from the southeast corner of Argyle Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard, across the street from the Hollywood/Vine Red Line station and the Pantages Theatre.
The one-way fare is $8 for adults and free for children 5 and younger.
Mayor Eric Garcetti, area council members and other local leaders will gather at the shuttle stop this morning to celebrate the new route, which will join existing FlyAway service from Santa Monica, Union Station, Van Nuys and Westwood to Los Angeles International Airport.
Airport officials estimate that more than 100,000 people will ride the shuttle in its first year of operation.
