Marcia Zadian, 69 years young, was crowned Ms. Senior Culver City 2013 on March 10, 2013 at the first of eight preliminary pageants for the Ms. Senior California Pageant.
Carol Hess is the second runner-up and winner of the talent competition.
The Ms. Senior America Pageant is the world’s first and foremost pageant to honor older women aka those gals who have reached the ‘Age of Elegance’. The Ms. Senior America philosophy is based upon the belief that Baby Boomers and seniors are the foundation of America, and one of our most valuable resources. It is upon their knowledge, wisdom and experience that younger generations have the opportunity to build a better society.
In 1986, the California Chapter was created in 1986 by Elda Barry who ran it for 14 years. In 2000, Marilyn McCabe Kohler took over as the director and has grown the program from one pageant to seven Preliminary Pageants and one Annual State Pageant. The California Program is currently headed by Pamela Wheeler who is also CEO of the Ms. Senior California 501(c)3.
