Comedienne Phyllis Diller Dies At Her Brentwood Home At 95
One of America’s great comediennes, Phyllis Diller, died in late August at her Brentwood home at age 95. Diller retired years ago after a lengthy career and international recognition. She worked with such well known comedians as Bob Hope, Jerry Lewis and many others, although she was successful on her own. She inspired a generation of comics, including Joan Rivers, Ellen DeGeneres and Whoopi Goldberg.
Getty Family to Partner With The Carlyle Group To Operate The World Famous Getty Images
The Brentwood based Getty Museum’s partners have agreed to sell their interest in Getty Images, an internationally known purveyor of stock images and photography and creators of still images, multi-media projects, etc..Founder, Mark Getty and the Getty family will roll their interests into the surviving company, the Carlyle Group.
