New Farmer’s Market Comes to the Westside

The Farmers’ Market is a collaborative effort of the Motor Avenue Improvement Association (MAIA), Faith2Green, and a supportive group of local businesses and residents including the IMAN Cultural Center and Barbri Prep. It was made possible with the help of Councilmember Paul Koretz of Council District 5 and County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas.

The market will enhance the farm-to-table connection and availability of fresh local produce to residents in the the Palms, Cheviot Hills, Westside Village, Beverlywood, and surrounding communities.

In addition to fresh in-season fruits and vegetables, the market will feature many interesting and unique products from local businesses, ranging from hand-painted jewelry to cupcakes. El Nopal, Irish Times, and The Vegan Joint will be providing breakfast options, while Sunflower Baking will offer cookies and other baked treats.

For more information on the market: www.motoravenuemarket.com

New vendors are always welcome to apply for a booth should contact market@motorassociation.org to receive a vendor packet.
