The 2012 Los Angeles Epicurean Festival will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2012, at the historic Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles.
The first session, 3:00-6:00pm, will include a wonderful lineup of events. Featured demonstrations from talented chefs, sommeliers, and mixologists will launch the afternoon session. Gourmet purveyors will educate attendees on the fabrication of their offerings while providing tastings. The Epicurean Cup features three teams of six contestants each. Together they must create a salad, main course and dessert from a mystery basket and pair these with a beverage. Celebrity judges will decide the winning pairings, including the best cocktail and the best dish overall. The winners will go home with the coveted Cup.
The second session,7:00-10:00pm, will feature all of the above plus a DJ spinning late into the evening, while mixologists shake to the music as they create sexy drinks for guests.
