Paul Torres has joined the national real estate law firm Pircher, Nichols & Meeks as a senior litigation associate in its Los Angeles office.
Prior to joining Pircher, Nichols & Meeks, Torres was a litigation associate with Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP since 2005. While there he represented financial institutions, companies, officers and directors in securities class actions and derivative suits, bankruptcy-related matters and other complex business disputes in state and federal courts. In addition, Torres served on the firm’s Litigation Training Committee, helping to develop training programs for the firm’s litigation department.
Torres received his J.D. in 2005 from University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where he served on the editorial staff for the Southern California Review of Law and Social Justice. He graduated from University of California, Los Angeles in 2001 and holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in accounting. He was admitted to practice law in California in November 2005. Most recently, Torres co-authored “Expert Discovery: An Update on the Rule 26 Amendments,†published by Practical Law Company in February 2012.
