Phoenix Houses of California, one of the state’s leading non-profit behavioral health organizations, is gathering Los Angeles’ top civic and business leaders at Hotel Bel-Air on June 6, 2012 for its ninth annual “Triumph For Teens†Awards Gala to raise funds to support Phoenix House’s teen residential treatment centers, family therapy, and prevention programs. This year’s honorees, listed below, will be celebrated:
Dr. Charles J. Sophy, Medical Director, LA County Department of Children and Family Services for his leadership in the field of addiction and commitment to the well-being of children and families.
Sergeant Larry Martinez, Los Angeles Police Department, a long time friend to Phoenix House for his groundbreaking work and life-changing effect on at-risk youth.
Approximately 250 people are expected to attend the ninth annual “Triumph for Teens†awards gala, which will include a cocktail reception, silent auction, dinner, and an awards program featuring a special musical performance by recording artist Lauren Mayhew. Marcellas Reynolds, TV Host and Celebrity Fashion Stylist is the host for the evening.
Guests attending include Chris Weitz (The Twilight Saga: New Moon, The Golden Compass, American Pie, A Better Life), Amanda Garrigus (Extra, KTLA Morning News, E! News, Daily 10), Wendy Burch, weekend co-anchor of KTLA Morning News, Jamie Brewer (American Horror Story), Tony Pritzker, managing partner and co-founder, The Pritzker Group, and philanthropists Bruce Karatz (KB Homes) and Lilly Tartikoff.
