The Durham-Lopez 2012 U.S. Presidential/Vice Presidential team maintains that President Obama has simply continued the policies-foreign and domestic- of George W. Bush that leave women, workers and the poor more vulnerable and outraged than ever before.
The Durham-Lopez Vote Socialism campaign argues that women and other oppressed groups should protest the capitalist system at the ballot box by voting for the greater good and not the greater evil.
May’s featured discussion will focus on Obama’s waffling on reproductive and civil rights for women of color, lesbians, immigrant women and youth. Bring your ideas on what is needed to build a grassroots feminist electoral campaign that will fight for bold solutions to the multiple problems facing women, people of color, workers and children.
A spring dinner, with vegetarian option, will be served at 6:30pm for an $8.00 donation.
