Santa Monica artist Cassandra Tondro will show her recent eco-friendly paintings at The Rose Cafe in Venice.
Tondro uses leftover acrylic latex paint – better known as house paint – in her paintings, rescuing them from recycling centers in the Los Angeles area before they are disposed of in landfills. Tondro also combs the “mistint†shelves of home improvement stores for her materials.
Tondro’s show at The Rose Cafe, 220 Rose Avenue in Venice, runs from March 8, 2012 – April 29, 2012. The artist will be in the cafe on Friday, March 16th and Saturday, March 31 from 2-3:30 pm to meet with patrons and discuss her work with cafe patrons.
The Rose Cafe,220 Rose Avenue in Venice is open Monday-Friday 7am-5pm; weekend hours are 8:00am-5:00pm
