With a following that includes Fergie, Khloe Kardanshian, Justin Bieber, Paris Hilton and Mario Lopez, IceLink has already made its mark on the celebrity set. With the debut of its flagship boutique in the renowned Melrose shopping district, next door to Fred Segal, the Swiss-based company is about to catch fire, so to speak, not just as a maker of extraordinary timepieces and jewelry, but as a lifestyle destination.
IceLink’s signature multi-face watches, designed for jet-setters who likes to accessorize like rock stars, display the time in six zones in settings that dazzle, such as the 6Timezone Snow Collection. The top of the line 26-carat watch in 18K white gold features one zone replaced by dozens of floating diamonds and is offered at $348,000. Only 10 of these exist in the world.
Other IceLink timepieces offer a more edgy but still elegant profile, such as the colorful wrist candy Bikini Collection, or the sporty Floe Collection. Additional distinctive pieces include the diamond-studded Blackberry Collection and pendant and cufflinks with the IceLink logo of a prodigious lion carrying a staff.
Though most of the pieces range from $4,000 to $300,000, an original bicycle-chain inspired bracelet collection and other stainless steel jewelry start at an affordable $160.
IceLink’s new boutique showcases not only gorgeous watches and jewelry pieces but the city itself, with a top floor converted into an airy open social space boasting panoramic views of Melrose Avenue where IceLinks can display its statement pieces and entertain VIPs.
The main floor, designed by famed interior designer Ujo Pallares of Ars Spatium, features mahogany wood floors and an inviting lounge area in the center surrounded by walls of lighted glass display cases. A large window in the front of the store is designed to serve as a catwalk for live models for special events.
IceLink opened to the public just in time for the holiday shopping season at 666 N. Kilkea Drive in Los Angeles. For more information visit www.icelinkwatch.com
