Hollywood Elite Abandoning Beverly Hills and Moving to Brentwood and/or Malibu.
It’s no secret that one of Southern California’s most elite new restaurants, Tavern, took over the failing former Hamburger Hamlet site in Brentwood where Brentwood residents Tom Hanks and Stephen Spielberg recently hosted a $35,000 a plate fund-raising dinner for President Barack Obama. The Tavern owners knew many of the Beverly Hills elite were abandoning that city to move their residences to Brentwood, Santa Monica and Malibu…with the emphasis on Brentwood. Brentwood is home to CBS chief, Leslie Moonves, Disneyland’s boss, Robert Iger, Ari Emanuel, a leader at the William Morris talent agency, major producer, Joel Silver…and the list goes on and on.
Visitors to the Brentwood Country Mart can see Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston and many other former Beverly Hills celebrities on most days at the mart. Tavern owners, Carolyn Styne and her partner, chef Suzanne Goin, knew all about this new found popularity when they made a major investment in their Brentwood Tavern.
