Come join us for an evening of mindfulness practice and an introduction to Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. MBSR is an eight-week class that, through mindful awareness, helps practitioners to enhance their ability to live and cope with chronic pain, illness, and the stresses of everyday life. This program, begun by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the UMass Medical Center in 1979, now is taught around the world. This evening will help give you the true flavor of this mindfulness program.
Gloria Kamler has been teaching MBSR in Los Angeles for the past 14 years, both in Santa Monica and at UCLA. She is a long-time student of several renowned teachers, including Shinzen Young, Ajahn Amaro, as well as teachers from the University of Massachusetts Center for Mindfulness, including Jon Kabat-Zinn PhD.
Gloria’s dedication to living mindfully is an integral part of her professional and personal life. She is grateful in sharing her experience and understanding of mindfulness practice with others, and hopes that her work helps her students to lead more fulfilling lives.
