September 25, 2010 The Jeffrey Foundation celebrates their 38th year of service to children with special needs on September 25, 2010 at a beautiful, historic mansion in the West Adams District of Los Angeles.
The festivities will be from 4 pm to 8 pm at The Robinson House (also referred to as “The Colonel’s Mansion†), and will feature tours of the home, a wine tasting, a silent auction, celebrity and donor awards, as well as a program of music by Howard Richman and Cherie Valaray.
MC for the evening is Peter Mark Richman, renowned actor and Chairman of The Jeffrey Foundation Celebrity Committee.
Larry Covin is the Entertainment Director, Catering is by Suz Landay and Underwriting of the event by Wells Fargo Foundation and other community supporters.
Honorees include Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Congresswoman Diane Watson, Councilman Herb Wesson, Speaker-Emeritus Karen Bass, Assemblyman Mike Davis, Supervisor Mark Ridley Thomas, Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky as well as Hollywood Stars such as Jayne Meadows Allen and Ann Jeffries Sterling and Educational Leaders such as Celia C. Ayala, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer of Los Angeles Universal Preschool (LAUP).
The Jeffrey Foundation Founder, Alyce Morris Winston will present the awards and also honor Donors, such as Donald & Shelly Sterling, The Ahmanson Foundation, Beverly & Robert Cohen and others for their financial support through the years.
The Jeffrey Foundation is located at 5470 W. Washington Boulevard in Los Angeles and serves children from low income families, ages 12 months through 18 years.
