Easter Seals’ “Senior Memories Project†Competes For $25,000 Pepsi Refresh Grant

“Creating a video memory can be an adventure of recorded moments and milestones in a life that reflects society, with details that make up an oral history,†says Easter Seals Regional Vice President Kathleen Kolenda. “It’s been repeatedly shown that recalling good times helps retain the memory and lift the spirits of a senior who knows they are providing lessons and wisdom for their family.â€

Easter Seals Senior Service offers supervised, quality care and activities to seniors in Southern California, meeting the needs of families caring for an aging parent or spouse by providing support and respite for caregivers during the work day. The service provides seniors with social and recreational activities, daily exercise, nutritious meals, self-advocacy, crafts and music.
Voters can cast their votes daily, seven days a week at www.refresheverything.com/SeniorMemories.
