On October 3rd, Cheri Morgan opened up her elegant Pacific Palisades home to almost 100 families who gathered for the First Back to School Movie Night Under the Stars to benefit Determined to Succeed.
DTS supports low socio-economic students from middle school through the college admissions process. The program supports these select students by providing them with tutoring, mentoring and other tools designed to help empower those who are determined to succeed beat the odds.
DTS was started five years ago by former Brentwood Science Magnet school teacher Sara Hahn and funded with the active and generous support of actor Hank Azaria. The organization supports a total of 35 students, including a new group of 18 sixth graders who just started in September.
