This Friday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m. marks the inaugural “Collaborate” event, which aims to connect the Los Angeles community with area social justice organizations. This year, the event will feature musical performances by Travis Taylor and Blake & Kate as well as a screening of the short film, Kavi, which depicts slavery in India.
The community can also learn more about several local and international social justice organizations in attendance, including TOMS Shoes, Opportunity International, Union Rescue Mission, Just4One.org, Falling Whistles, International Justice Mission, Project Exodus, and more.
Collaborate is a free event and refreshments will be served. The event takes place at Calvary Church of Pacific Palisades at 701 Palisades Dr., Pacific Palisades, Calif.
