Mitchell Newman, a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music, has been a member of the first violin section of the LA Philharmonic since 1987. He will talk about the inner workings of the LA Phil, its new director, Gustavo Dudamel in addition to playing select pieces from his vast repetoire.
