The Fourth of July home decorating contest brought all the patriots out for the occasion, especially first place winners Ali and Lauren Hoffman. They went all out for the Fourth to make up for a Christmas deficit of décor, spending hours putting up streamers, bunting and even chalking the sidewalk.
The Palisades Coldwell Banker office sponsored the contest. Winners received an American flag. The only requirement for entering was that the businesses or homes be along the parade route.
In the business category, the winner was Party Pizzaz, owner Marlee Dressen.
