Things to Do in Los Angeles for Mother’s Day

In Los Angeles, going across the city can be an undertaking. The urban sprawl can make it difficult to see our family if they live in the Valley, Orange County, and somewhere else in California. If you plan on spending Mother’s Day in Los Angeles, you probably want to cut down on the travel time and increase the amount of quality time you can spend with your mother. Here are some great ideas for things to do in LA for Mother’s Day.

Take Her to the Getty Center or the Broad

If your mother enjoys art, you could take her to a museum. You could have a day of it and go to the Getty Center, where you can gaze at many priceless works of art, picnic at the park, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the area. Another example is the Broad. This museum takes you through various styles of modern and contemporary art, but there will still be enough time to take your mother out to lunch.

Eat at a Nice Restaurant

In LA, there is no shortage of amazing restaurants. If your mother doesn’t live in the city, it would be a good time to take her out to a fancy place. There are plenty of Michelin-starred restaurants to choose from. Is stuffy not her style? Then there are the many local spots that can cultivate a great Mother’s Day meal experience. What about brunch? Mother’s Day is on a Sunday. A great option is to take her brunch and then get outside.

Go to Griffith Park

Another great Mother’s Day option is to spend the day at Griffith Park. You can take a walk, make a picnic, sit in the shade, read a book, or even bring along a bottle of wine. You can also visit the observatory. Wait until it gets dark or simply walk around the museum they have. Griffith Park is a great opportunity to get some fresh air, enjoy the beautiful view of Los Angeles, walk around, and share some great memories.

Get Pampered

Of course, there is no shortage of ways to get pampered in LA. You could go for a pedicure and a manicure. You could get your hair done together. What about a massage? You could find a spa and enjoy the hot tub and sauna. With so many ways to relax and enjoy the day, if you and your mother both need to take a load off it’s a great option. Pamper yourselves and you will feel great. You just might find new ways to bond and get closer.

Body Art

Is your mother into body art or jewelry? You can take her to get a new necklace or get a new piercing. If your mother still likes tattoos, you can bond by getting skin art together. Not everyone’s mother is into permanent skin art, but what about temporary? Henna is an exotic and spiritual way to express yourselves with skin art without worrying about permanence. These designs will fade in a week or two. Search for henna places near me and you will find it isn’t so uncommon in Los Angeles.

Attend an Event

Finally, another thing you can do is attend an event on Mother’s Day. Whether it’s a fashion show, an art mixer, a live concert, or a trip to the theater, your mom probably likes some form of entertainment. You can attend an event together and have something to do on Mother’s Day. If you don’t talk much but want to try your best to spend quality time, going to an event can be a perfect way to have a fun time with your mother on Mother’s Day.

As you can see, there is no shortage of things to do in Los Angeles on Mother’s Day. What does your mother like? Who is she? What do you do together? These things can all go into what you do on Mother’s Day in Los Angeles. Be smart. Think ahead. What is appropriate for you both to do together? Think outside the box but don’t sway too hard. Furthermore, don’t worry so much about it. You will be able to find the right thing to do for an LA Mother’s Day.
