A 35-day streak of decreases ended today when the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent to $3.046.
The average price dropped 50.7 cents during the streak to its lowest amount since Feb. 22, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
Despite the first daily increase since Aug. 14, the average price is 4.1 cents less than one week ago, 42.3 cents lower than one month ago and 64.3 cents below what it was one year ago.
A 34-day streak of decreases to the Orange County average price also ended today with an increase of 1.1 cents to $2.996. The Orange County average price dropped 49.3 cents during the streak to its lowest amount since Feb. 21.
The Orange County average price is 2.5 cents less than one week ago, 40.7 cents lower than one month ago and 66 cents below what it was one year ago.
