Meet Century City: Alexandria Taylor, Chamber Of Commerce

Alexandria Taylor.
Alexandria Taylor.

For Alexandria Taylor, joining the Century City of Chamber of Commerce team has allowed her to help others in the community.

Can you tell me about what you do in Century City?

I am the Membership Coordinator at the Century City Chamber of Commerce.

What motivated you to get into this role?

Helping others and becoming more involved with the growth and changes that are happening in both Century City and the Los Angeles area. Working at the Chamber allows me to accomplish both these things on a daily basis as my job revolves around making new connections, interacting with a number of members and non-members, and being knowledgeable of everything that transpires in Century City.

Where did it all begin for you career-wise?

ICM Partners. The agency and entertainment world has definitely shaped me into the person I am today.

What do you love about Century City? Where is your favorite place to eat/exercise/take a break from the office in the area?

Century City is an area that houses some of the most successful and intelligent people in Los Angeles and this can be motivating to those looking to attain their career goals. Century City is like a miniature Manhattan. Mrs. Winston’s is definitely my favorite place to eat. I don’t understand how they do it, the salads are so delicious and fresh – the best place ever! During break time we are usually sitting outside in Century Park, enjoying the great scenery.

If you could add one component to the neighborhood, what would it be and why?

I would say we must undoubtedly keep Marlene Louchheim’s “Full of Nature” sculptures on Avenue of the Stars forever. The art is beautiful and so are the others that have been placed throughout Century City.

What do you do in your spare time?

Read. A lot of reading and research, actually. Intellectual stimulation is essential. However, I also love laughing and having a great time with friends every chance I get.

What is one cool/unique activity you want to do this coming year?

I would like to plan a trip to Mount Wilson in Colorado for a mountain climbing expedition. It’s time to unleash the warrior and finally do it.

Where was your last vacation?

Nassau, Bahamas for a reunion with my lovely family.

Where do you wish your last vacation was?

Saint-Barthélemy is such a beautiful place and I definitely wish this is where I last vacationed. Thinking optimistically, it’ll happen this year or sometime in the near future.
