Two Black Friday shoppers at a Tustin Kohl’s department store were arrested on suspicion of assault early this morning when they got into a fight with two other women near the baby section, sending one to the hospital, police said.
Police were called to the store in the 18100 block of Irvine Boulevard about 1 am regarding a disturbance between customers, said Tustin police Sgt. Ryan Coe.
“We located two victims on the second floor near the baby section and two suspects on the first floor,” Coe said. All four people involved in the fight were women.
“It looks like they got into an argument. It occurred on the second floor and a physical altercation ensued,” he said.
One victim was transported to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana “as a precaution,” Coe said. He did not know the exact nature of her injuries but said they were not life-threatening. The other victim suffered lacerations.
Two women were arrested on suspicion of assault, he said.
According to the store’s website, it opened for Black Friday at 6 pm Thursday and was to remain open until midnight Saturday.
