Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood Division asked the public today for information that could lead to the arrest of a suspect who committed a robbery at an automated teller machine.
A suspect approached a victim at an ATM at a Bank of America branch in the 4900 block of Melrose Avenue, near Western Avenue, around 9:10 p.m. on Oct. 15 and with his hand simulating a handgun told the customer to give him his money or he would be shot. He then took the money and fled.
The suspect was described as a man about 35 years old with black hair and brown eyes, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing between 170 and 180 pounds.
He was wearing a purple Los Angeles Lakers cap and a purple Minnesota Vikings jersey.
His car was described as a newer model red four-door Toyota Yari.
