The Los Angeles Master Chorale serves up two matinees of its delightful seasonal feast, “Holiday Wonders: Festival of Carols,†Saturday, December 8, 2:00pm, and Saturday, December 15, 2012, 2:00pm, at Walt Disney Concert Hall.
New arrangements of cherished holiday carols and traditional favorites, sung to delicious perfection by 90 members of the Chorale, under the baton of The Kiki and David Gindler Music Director Grant Gershon, set a joyful tone making this concert a highlight of the season. The program features such classics as Deck the Hall, Silent Night, The First Noël, White Christmas, Santa Claus is Coming To Town, Here We Come a Caroling, and several arrangements of carols by the Chorale’s Swan Family Composer In Residence Shawn Kirchner. Disney Hall’s iconic pipe organ, played by John West, adds a delightful sonic flourish.
“Holiday Wonders: Festival of Carols†is made possible, in part, by a grant from the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts and The Bank of America Charitable Foundation.
