Jason Siff will lead this workshop on allowing and exploring your thoughts and emotions in meditation. His approach to meditation, called “Recollective Awareness,†starts off with treating thoughts as an integral part of your meditation experience, and encourages gentleness toward yourself and interest in the workings of your mind. This approach is for beginners and experienced meditators alike.
The workshop will consist of four periods of meditation (each one 40 minutes or less), followed by a talk, discussion, and opportunities to ask questions that are relevant for your meditation practice.
Siff is the author of “Unlearning Meditation: What to do when the Instructions get in the Way.†He is the head teacher for the Skillful Meditation Project and has been teaching meditation for over 24 years.
